It is not recommended for bathrooms or laundry rooms. This product must be acclimated in the room it will be installed in between 5-7 days before installation

Engineered Hardwood is manufactured by alternating the grain of plywood in multi layers then finishing with the real hardwood layer on top. This creates a very stable product which can be floated or glued at the joints. It is a good product for those areas with high moisture, temperature extremes, concrete or particle board subfloors and radiant floor heating systems.

Red and white oak are about in the middle of the scale.

Therefore the harder the wood, the more durable and resistant it will be to scratching and staining. Of course wood being a natural product it does get worn and dull from heavy traffic and can be scratched. The good thing is It can be refinish. Please note that some engineered wood products do not have much of a veneer of wood on the top layer and may not be refinished in the same manner as a solid wood floor.
